Here is one of my favorite picture from my trip to Peru.

I was in a small boat at dawn, on a lake in the middle of the Amazon forest.

 

I tried to remain silent when I saw a black caiman coming close. 

 

I did not move any muscle, making sure this wonderful reptile would not get scared. Suddenly it stopped 2/3 meters away from me and fixed me. It was immobile in the dark water, only visible from a glimpse of sunset lighting its scales.

 

Suddenly, it made a slight vertical movement creating an ondulation around him.

 

I saw the potential of the shot straight away and pressed the shutter to have this beautiful photograph with an aureola of water surrounding its head.

The contrasts between the fear this reptile conveys and the angelic aureola's it created made me think of the fallen angel itself : Lucifer.
